This past weekend I had a big antiquing adventure — my first time in almost a year! Living in New York City and having a small child, I don’t have access to antique malls to peruse regularly. The last time I had free reign to explore antiques was last summer in England where I plan travel around antique shop stops on our annual trip to visit my husband’s family. So, it was a treat to hit four antique malls in two days on my trip home to Connecticut to see my mom (incidentally, antiquing is our favorite bonding activity).
It was such a thrill to enter those vast spaces full of stuff to sift through with the anticipation of striking gold. Now that I’m back to my regular life in Brooklyn, I can’t quit that feeling. So, I thought I’d try to replicate the experience online…
